Palo Christi School

Welcome to Palo Christi School, a Kingman Unified School District facility that is still in use. Palo Christi Elementary School has a long, rich history. It is unique in that it has had two names and two dates of birth.

The cornerstone clearly states that the school was built in 1928, but the kids did not actually start school in their new building until January of 1929. This replaced the Little Red School which at the time, grades First to Eight were taught.

Visitors to the school will see engraved over the doorway the words Kingman Grammar School, and that was indeed the school’s original name. In the early 1960s, the name was changed to the current name, Palo Christi.

Palo Christi is a Performing Plus School! This means that the students are above the National Average on Terra Nova and other testing. They have great teachers and students. Palo Christi Elementary School teaches Kindergartner to Sixth Grades
